Killing Games: Wildlife in the Crosshairs at Speak for Wolves 2018

We are very excited to announce that we will be screening Project Coyote's new film: Killing Games: Wildlife in the Crosshairs at this year's event! The film will be shown on Thursday July 26, 2018 at the Historic Union Pacific Dining Lodge in West Yellowstone, Montana. The description of the film is below:

"On any given weekend, some of America’s most iconic wildlife are massacred in wildlife killing contests, and prizes are awarded for killing the largest or most of a targeted species. Coyotes, bobcats, wolves and foxes fall prey to “hunters” as young as ten. These legally sanctioned contests ignore the critical role apex predators play in maintaining healthy ecosystems. In the groundbreaking exposé KILLING GAMES ~ Wildlife In The Crosshairs, Project Coyote brings these shadowy contests to light and uncloaks this hidden war on wildlife, inspiring viewers to call on their state and local legislators to end these brutal contests where wild animals become living targets.

Project Coyote founder and executive director (and director and producer of KILLING GAMES) Camilla Fox and Project Coyote Science Advisor David Parsons will discuss how wildlife killing contests are symptomatic of a larger issue of predator mismanagement by state and federal wildlife agencies for social canids (wolves and coyotes) to illuminate both the problems and their solutions. We will examine what can be done to press for a paradigm shift in how we coexist with large carnivores in North America."

Stay tuned for more details about this year's Speak for Wolves conference.
