New Board, New Location for 2019

2019 Speak for Wolves logo

Speak for Wolves has made some exciting changes in the past few months! Our long-time President, Brett Haverstick, stepped down at the end of 2018. Stephanie Taylor remains as Board Treasurer, and Danielle Solberg remains as Board Secretary. Two new Board Members have joined: Rachel Bjork as President and Amanda Ferguson as Vice President.

Another big change for 2019: the conference will take place in Portland, Oregon, the home city of two of our board members. By trying a new location, our hope is to draw new people into wolf conservation activism and educate a wider audience to the issues surrounding wildlife in the U.S.

Stay tuned for more details about the 2019 conference! We will also have new t-shirts and stickers available soon.

  1. Hi, glad to see there will be a 2019 conference and looking forward to attending in a new location. I am from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and have attended two events when they were in Yellowstone, and thoroughly enjoyed them! I see you’re including British Columbia this year in your coverage so wanted to let you know there is some interest from Canadians in attending the conference, especially since it’s closer. We have several great wolf advocacy organizations in both Alberta and British Columbia, and lots of issues to deal with, so if you’d like to use me as a contact to forward posters about your event please feel free.
